When Kane heard her loud cries in the bathroom, he made his way to her. Alexis was tough, she never cried after their fights so he knew something else was wrong with her. He pushed open the bathroom door and saw her sitting on the lid of the toilet with her face buried in her lap. He stood in front of her and rested his hand on her back. “Why are you crying?”

She continued to cry hard as her body jerked with each sob.

“Alexis… talk to me.”

“I… I … I don’t – I don’t” She couldn’t even get her words pass her tears. She felt so much pain, it was almost paralyzing. “I don’t want to lose you to her. I’m so scared to lose you.” She confessed between her tears.

He grabbed her hands and pulled her up to her feet. “Alexis… you’re not going to lose me. Stop saying that.” He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead. “I’m with you and always have been with you. I love you.”

She wiped her eyes and looked up into his eyes. “You’re with me but you still fuck around with these other bitches, Kane. I have no reason to believe you and Mia Foxx aren’t doing shit behind my back. You’re so far away, you can do anything and I won’t know any of it because you don’t tell me shit.” Alcohol and her emotions had her crying like a baby.

He loosened his grip with a sigh and took a step back from her. “Got’damn Alexis, I can’t get a break. As soon as I walked through the door you wanted to argue, then you bust the back of my head with the remote, then you fucked up my face, and now you’re accusing me of fucking other bitches and Mia Foxx. What should I do to prove to you that I’m all about my business and not these bitches when I’m in Long Beach?”

“Move me and Arianna out there to be with you. Why are we still in San Diego? We’re a family Kane, we should be together.” She replied as she watched him close his eyes and flex the muscles in his jaw. “Every time I bring this up, you shut it down. Why, Kane? You don’t want us out there with you? You don’t want the world to know about us? Are you ashamed of me?”

He opened his eyes and looked at her. “No Alexis, I’m not ashamed of you and Arianna. I love both of you. You’re still in San Diego because I don’t have things in order right now. I spend all this money on you and the baby, trips out the country, and buying expensive shit left and right but I’m still living at my mom’s house. I’m saving money to buy a big ass house for you, Arianna” he touched her stomach and said, “and more babies.”

He touched her heart with that one and suddenly she wasn’t feeling so sad.

“You have no clue on how bad I wish I could be with you and Arianna all day and every day.
